  • 2 egg, separated
  • 1-1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 cups sifted cake flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/3 cup salad oil
  • 1 cup mashed very ripe bananas
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts

InstructionsInstructions  Heat oven 350 degree (moderate). Oil lightly and dust with flour 2 round layer pans,8x1-1/2 inches,or an oblong pan 13x9 -1/2 inches. Beat egg whites until fronthy. Gradually beat in 1/3 cup of the sugar.Combine flour,baking powder,salt,soda into another bowl.Add oil,mashed bananas,half of buttermilk flavoring. Beat 1 minute using medium speed on mixer,or 150 vigorous stokes by hand.Scrape sides ang bottom of bowl constantly. Add remaining buttermilk,and eggyolks. Beat 1 minute,scraping sides of bowl. Fold in beaten egg whites. Fold in nuts gently. Pour into prepared pans. Bake the 8-inches layer 25 to 30 minutes;oblong 40 to 45 minutes. Cool, Frost with quick frosting.
